Machinists Urge Congress to Hold Amtrak Accountable

The Machinists Union is urging members of Congress to add their names to House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Peter DeFazio (D-OR) and Rep. Dan Lipinski’s (D-IL) letter to Amtrak CEO Richard Anderson.

The letter seeks information on a number of recent changes that have been plaguing Amtrak’s stakeholders, including, but not limited to, passenger rail advocacy groups, Amtrak employee unions, and states whose Amtrak service is at risk of being cut or eliminated.
